The Commedia project is focused on multicast protocols and their usage
for various applications such as multimedia conferencing, collaborative
design, data replication, and distributed system management. We are
designing and building a cross-platform infrastructure that allows the
application to customize the protocols based on the required quality of
service (e.g. reliability, ordering, latency, and throughput). Supported
environments include BSDI, Solaris, SunOS, Irix, Linux, Windows NT, Win95,
and the Java applet environment.
