The Model

• Every time interval t we can reassign jobs.

• Each machine m contacts a small random subset of the other machines.

• The system can move jobs from m to any of those other machines without stopping their execution.

• This model matches the behavior of a real system that can reassign jobs: Mosix, developed at the Hebrew University at Jerusalem.
