Strategies for Resource Allocation with Real-Time Constraints

This section discusses strategies for environments where some jobs have real-time constraints -- we must complete them in a certain amount of time. We propose modifications to the PVM Strategy, the Differential PVM Strategy, and the Enhanced PVM Strategy to fit real time environments.

We tested these strategies against a flow of jobs sufficient to force many job rejections. We then evaluated them in terms of the average percentage of jobs rejected.
